Business information

"The provider" in these terms means the business above.

1. Purpose

These terms set out the conditions of use and the limits of liability for SeeAnyFile ("the program").

2. Cost and withdrawal

1. The program is free. There is no subscription, no payment and no paid unlock.
2. Because you pay nothing, there is no transaction to withdraw from or refund.
3. If paid features are ever introduced, the provider will state the price, payment method and withdrawal conditions in advance, and will honour the right of withdrawal under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce. Features that are free today will not become paid without notice.

2a. Advertising

1. The website may show advertisements, clearly marked as such.
2. The program shows sponsored pictures only if you switch them on in Settings; they are off by default and can be switched off at any time, including from the picture itself. The program works the same either way.
3. Advertisements are provided by third parties. The provider checks their format, not the advertisers' products or claims; a purchase or agreement you make with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser.
4. Please report a misleading or harmful advertisement to the e-mail address above; the provider will review it and remove it where appropriate.

3. Licence

The program is distributed under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and distribute it on the conditions in the LICENSE file in the repository. Licences of third-party components included in the program are listed in docs/THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md.

4. Your responsibilities

1. Use the program only with files you are entitled to access.
2. Keep your own backups of files that matter to you.
3. Do not use the program for any purpose that breaks applicable law.

5. Protection of original files

1. The program does not modify or delete an original file unless you explicitly ask it to.
2. Conversion and export create new files by default.
3. When a target name already exists, a new name of the form file (1).jpg is used instead of overwriting.

6. No warranty

The program is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. No guarantee is made that every file of every format will be processed without error.

6a. Results of AI features

1. Background removal and text recognition (OCR) produce estimates made by AI models, and their accuracy is not guaranteed. Subject edges may be off, and characters may be misread or missed.
2. Anything whose error could cause loss - amounts, account numbers, business registration numbers, dates - must be checked against the original before use.
3. Results of AI features are always saved as new files and never change the original (section 5).
4. If you publish or sell an image whose background you removed, you must hold the rights to the original image.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the providers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including data loss or lost business — arising from use of, or inability to use, the program.

8. Privacy

Handling of personal data is governed by docs/legal/PRIVACY_en.md.

9. Changes

Changes to these terms are published in this document and in the release notes, and apply from the version in which they are announced.

10. Governing law and disputes

1. These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. The provider and the user will first try to settle any dispute by agreement.
3. Failing that, a user may apply for mediation to the Korea Fair Trade Commission or a provincial governor under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, or to the Consumer Dispute Settlement Commission of the Korea Consumer Agency (1372, ccn.go.kr).
4. Jurisdiction for any litigation follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
