Read comics and manga on Windows
Comic and manga archives open like a book: two pages side by side, right to left for manga, or one long strip for webtoons, and back at the page where you stopped.
How to open it, step by step
- Install SeeAnyFile. It is free for Windows 10 and 11 and needs no account.
- Open the .cbz, .cb7 or .cbt file, or a plain ZIP, 7z or TAR of pictures.
- Press G for two pages side by side; the cover and wide pages stand alone, and Shift+G shifts the pairing by a page.
- Press V for one long vertical strip, the way webtoons are meant to be read.
What you can do with it
- Read right to left for manga.
- Trim empty margins (D) and split double-page scans into two pages.
- Pick up exactly where you stopped, in every book.
- Browse a ZIP without unpacking it.
Good to know
- CBR and RAR are recognised but not opened: the only RAR decoder’s licence is outside SeeAnyFile’s licence policy. Unpack them with a tool such as 7-Zip, or repack them as CBZ.
- The archive is only read; nothing inside it is changed.
Questions
Why won’t my CBR file open?
CBR is a RAR archive, and SeeAnyFile does not include a RAR decoder for licence reasons. Extract it with 7-Zip or a similar tool, or repack it as CBZ, and it opens.
Does it remember where I stopped?
Yes. Each book reopens at the page you were on, and a vertical strip at the exact spot.
Can I read a folder of pictures as a book?
Yes. A folder of pictures can be read as a vertical strip too, like a webtoon.
