Open SVG files and save them as PNG
SVG graphics open sharp at any zoom, and safely: scripts inside an SVG never run and it cannot load anything from the internet. Save it as a PNG at exactly the size you need.
How to open it, step by step
- Install SeeAnyFile. It is free for Windows 10 and 11 and needs no account.
- Double-click the .svg or .svgz file, or drag it onto the window.
- Zoom as far as you like; the drawing is redrawn at every size, not stretched.
- Press Ctrl+E, choose PNG and the size, and save. Ctrl+B does a whole folder of icons.

- Browse a folder of icons and illustrations with thumbnails drawn at their real size.
- Save as PNG with transparency, or as JPG, WebP, BMP or TIFF.

- For safety, scripts in an SVG are not run and references to other files or web addresses are ignored.
- SVG is saved as a picture (PNG, JPG, WebP, BMP or TIFF), not as SVG.

How do I convert SVG to PNG?
Open the SVG, press Ctrl+E, choose PNG and the size you want. The drawing is rendered at that size, so it stays sharp.
Is it safe to open an SVG someone sent me?
Yes. An SVG can contain script; SeeAnyFile never runs it and never lets the file reach the internet or other files on your PC.
Which DXF drawings open?
ASCII DXF files: lines, arcs, polylines, blocks, text and more. Binary DXF and DWG are recognised by name but not opened.
